Not your fathers Capitals
Ovechkin scores 50th goal, Backstrom tops 100 points in Capitals' 5-2 win over Thrashers I know ther isn't much interest in sports here but I know some of us suffered through a few Caps games when they were the worst team in hockey. The times they are a changin, now the Caps are the best team in the NHL and have the best player in the NHL. We saw a game last season and it was very entertaining and you can clearly see why Ovie is regarded as the best. Dad would be thrilled. All thats left is for them to win the Stanley Cup that may prove difficult but they are the odds on favorite. 'LETS GO CAP IT ALS'

People had a similar worst-to-best experience with the Sharks out here. There were also mixed feelings from Sharks fans about finding your coach and five players on the winning Canadian side in the Olympics.
