Fishing Report
You don't have to look hard to find some bad press regarding the Shenendoah River and fishing. For several years reports of unexplained fishkills, open sores on specimans, and the everpopular legend of male fish with female body parts including eggs have dampened my interest in fishing. It is strictly catch and release for anyone with any sense. Dan and his freind Kayla have shown some interest in fishing lately and have had some success, they have managed to reel in several very healthy looking small and largemouth bass. This got me interested so I went yesterday on my own and was shut out till what was to be my last cast and boom I landed a nice 3 lb largemout. Last night they wanted to go catfishing and managed to catch 7 between them, nothing to big but they really seemed to enjoy themselves and all the fish looked healthy and happy to be released. Even at the age of 14 they still seemed to need me to be the official untangler, fish remover, and bait manager, an obvious reason why I was unable to land any. Maybe because we have had so much rain this year and water levels are some higher than recent years or maybe the general health of the river is improving and making something of a comeback. Whatever the reason I feel the need to monitor it more closely and plan to do so by fishing more regularly. I encourage all of you to join me some weekend for a closer look.

Sounds like fun. I need to pop on over and bring my rod. You can be my bait wrangler any time.
I am a master
I can see where this is headed, so I will only suggest that you keep your rod in its case and tighten the drag.
