Curiosity Why We Compete washingtonpost.comI saw this and considered it blogworthy. Interesting people would voluntarily endure this kind of pain for a chance to test their physical limits. I'm not sure the comparison to Mt Everest is valid but one hell of a challenge anyway.

Loved the article! The Post does such a great job of the online stuff, too. That audio piece that went with it was wonderful.
Sounds like a great warm-up for my "California Alps" ride.
