Mega Ramp, Mega Nuts

The video that accompanies this article about professional skateboarder Bob Burnquist's backyard skateboard ramp is worth a look.
Pilots routinely adjust their flight paths for a closer look, which is as good a way as any to sum up the scale of the Mega Ramp. The wooden structure is longer than a football field, as tall as an eight-story building, with a creek bed running through a 70-foot breach.
Crazy. I know you're too busy on the kitchen remodel to blog, Keith, but you may want to consider something like this for your next project.

I always marvel at how these guys got so rich at something that seems so trivial to most people(sorry A J) Burnquist and Hawk are multi millionaires. If you ever watch MTV Cribs, the show that tours celebrity homes, you can see how lucrative "xtreme" sports really is, they seem to target these guys for their profiles. I guess because guys like me are so shocked. Lets not forget step 1 is being good at that stuff but step 2 is living through it. I guess if you make it to step 3 it is to enjoy your success. I wouldn't try skating that ramp but I would enjoy building it.

You watch MTV Keith? Well now I've heard everything. Good luck with your kitchen. We've been waiting for a blog post about it.

I am amazed at 26 year olds being at a party, deciding it would be cool if it were easy to post and share videos on the Internet, putting something together in their garage, and 2 years later taking in $1.65B for their efforts. On the other hand, it might be about as difficult as some of the things I've seen xtreme skateboarders do, come to think of it.

Dara what else would a 51 year old guy like me watch. I can't take credit for being that cool I'm afraid it is a by-product of having a 12 year old.
