That guy is incredible! I love the detail on something that big. Front Royal has an artist that promoted herself and her Main st. gallery by painting murals on some of the buildings in town her work on those buildings is very impressive and life like. Her gallery is less impressive but still a local favorite for art lovers.
I think everyone on the Harris end of this blog except Keith has been here to our house and seen the mural we had done. This was a 20th anniversary present for Dara (and one of my few anniversary gifts ever!) The guy who did it, Dave Gordon doesn't feature it on his web site, but it's great. He came out and talked with us about what we wanted, took photos, and then did almost everything on canvas in his studio. Then he basically wallpapered it on here and did a few days of touch up to get things right. It's supposed to be a view of what it might have looked like from our house a century ago, with a few personal touches like our favorite dog and cat.
