Miss Rumphius was always one of Kyla's favorite stories when she was little. It was about the "Lupine Lady" who spread Lupines far and wide. We have our own version of Miss Rumphius here with irises, particularly Pacific Coast Irises. Here are some blooming in our garden this morning.

Dara is completely responsible. She plants them, nurtures them, and talks to them. She searches high and low for different varieties. I remember Hottel, but I don't remember her iris.
